Doha 2026 Gulf Games: Padel Asia President Underscores Competitions’ Strong Start
Doha, May 16 (QNA) – President of Padel Asia,Tareq Darwish Zainal said that the 4th GCC Games’ padel competitions got off to a very strong start with the Qatar-Saudi Arabia match, won by the former 3-0.
Speaking to Qatar News Agency (QNA), Zainal said that Qatar’s outstanding result in their opening match reflect the players’ ambitions to reach the podium.
The Secretary-General of the Qatar Tennis, Squash, Padel and Badminton Federation said that he was extremely pleased with the national team’s strong start and said that he looked forward to more victories during the tournament.
The goal is to be the champions, although getting there will not be easy, yet, team Qatar have prepared well for the tournament, said the President of Padel Asia, hoping that Al Adaam succeed in their mission to add a new accomplishment to Qatar’s distinguished padel record.
Zainal also praised the tournament’s excellent organization saying that Qatar is no stranger to this, as the country have become accustomed to hosting international championships and delivering them in the best way possible.
This outstanding and honorable organization reflects yet again Qatar’s tremendous organizational capabilities. (QNA)
