Doha, August 28 (QNA) – Al Sadd secured a vast 6-2 victory over Qatar SC in the second week of the Doha Bank Stars League in a match played at Ahmad Bin Ali Stadium.
Al Sadd took the lead in the 15th minute through Paulo Otavio, who returned to score his second goal of the match and double his side’s advantage in the 23rd minute.
Al Sadd added a third in the 29th minute through Yousef Abdulrazak to take a commanding 3-0 lead into halftime.
Qatar SC came out strongly in the second half and reduced the deficit in the 63rd minute when Joao Pedro converted a penalty.
Al Sadd quickly regained their composure, with Roberto Firmino adding their fourth goal in the 72nd minute. Qatar SC pulled another goal back through Pau Prim in the 82nd minute, but Al Sadd responded with two more goals. Claudinho scored their fifth in the 85th minute before Akram Afif completed the scoring with Al Sadd’s sixth in the second minute of stoppage time.
The victory lifted Al Sadd to six points, while Qatar SC remained on one point. (QNA)
