Doha, May 20 (QNA) – The Doha Diamond League meeting will take place on June 19 at the Suhaim Bin Hamad Stadium in Qatar Sports Club instead of the Khalifa International Stadium, the Qatar Athletics Federation has announced.
The federation stated on its official social media accounts that the event will feature a host of top athletes, including Olympic and world medalists and record holders in field and track events, competing in 14 races and events for both men and women.
The federation also confirmed that Qatari Olympic and world champion Mutaz Barshim will take part in the high jump event, marking his return to competition after a two-season absence due to injury.
The Diamond League Council had announced the participation of Sweden’s Armand Duplantis, the winner of the 2025 Diamond Trophy, in the Doha meeting along with several other prominent athletes. (QNA)
