New York, July 1 (Petra) – The Dow Jones Industrial Average surged more than 400 points on Tuesday, closing at 44,495, in a robust showing for one of Wall Street’s major stock indices.
In contrast, the tech-heavy Nasdaq dropped 166 points to settle at 20,203, while the broader S&P 500 index slipped by 7 points to end the day at 6,198.
Meanwhile, U.S. crude oil prices saw a slight uptick, with West Texas Intermediate (WTI) rising to $65.72 per barrel.
