Amman, Feb. 2 (Petra) – The 2024 annual report highlighted “significant” progress in implementation of the Economic Modernization Vision (2023-2025) within the ICT sector, with 1,530 government services automated, achieving a cumulative digitalization rate of 64 percent.

Additionally, 1.4 million digital identities were activated.

The report noted ongoing efforts to establish and operate comprehensive government service centers, with 4 new facilities completed in Tafilah, Aqaba, Madaba, and Ma’an, bringing the total number to 7, including those in Queen Alia International Airport, Mogableen, and Irbid.

Under the Youth, Technology, and Jobs (YTJ) project, 4,000 individuals benefited from DigiSkills training programs.

Within the Jordan Growth Program (Business Development), agreements were signed with 16 companies to support expansion, while under the Jordan Growth Project (Kafaat), 36 companies received support for salary grants, resulting in the creation of over 900 jobs.

In the Freelance Platforms project, agreements were signed with four companies, and training for 800 beneficiaries commenced to help them utilize digital platforms.

Furthermore, three contracts were signed with an intermediary company to support over 60 startups, alongside the completion of training for 100 beneficiaries through the British Council.

Coordination with universities and training institutions has enabled the launch of programs to train 5,000 young people in digital and job skills. Additionally, coding training was provided to 2,000 students from grades seven to eleven in government schools, along with 125 teachers. Moreover, 1,000 students in IT and scientific fields received training in essential job skills, including communication and interview techniques.
