Amman, June 18 (Petra) – The Ministry of Education announced on Wednesday that JD4.7 million will be disbursed to around 4,000 applicants for emergency loans from the ministry’s Social Security Fund by the end of June.
According to a ministry statement, JD3 million has already been paid at the beginning of the month to approximately 2,702 beneficiaries, including teachers and other eligible staff. An additional JD2 million was disbursed on June 15 to another 1,743 recipients.
The move comes in response to directives from Prime Minister Jaafar Hassan during a recent visit to the Ministry of Education, where he called for allocating the necessary funds to cover all pending emergency loan applications submitted to the fund this year.
