Undersecretary of the Ministry of National Education, Dr. Ahmed Khalifa Omar, chaired on Thursday the first meeting of the Technical Committee for the Conference on the Development of Education in Sudan. The committee was formed by the Minister National Education, Dr. Al-Tohami Al-Zein Hajar, to prepare for the conference and oversee its work. The Undersecretary stressed the importance of the conference in light of the need to develop Sudan’s education system and keep pace with global developments and changes. The meeting discussed the conference’s general framework, which aims to develop Sudan’s education system, formulate and review education policies, improve the quality of education and address the needs and challenges of the coming period. The committee approved the conference’s general framework, adopted a timetable for its activities, and set a preliminary date for the event.BH/BH
