Cairo, August 22 (QNA) – Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty and his Greek counterpart, Giorgos Gerapetritis discussed, during a phone call today, ways to strengthen Egyptian-Greek relations in addition to regional developments, in light of the strategic partnership and ongoing coordination between the two countries.
The two ministers exchanged views on regional developments, emphasizing the importance of intensifying diplomatic efforts and supporting political solutions to de-escalate tensions.
The Egyptian Foreign Minister stressed the importance of avoiding military escalation, prioritizing the diplomatic track, and safeguarding the security and freedom of international navigation, given the serious repercussions of current tensions on energy security and global trade. (QNA)
