Cairo, July 26 (QNA) – Egypt’s Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty has held separate phone calls with his Kuwaiti and Tunisian counterparts to discuss regional developments and efforts to reduce tensions and restore security and stability in the Middle East.

According to Egypt’s Foreign Ministry, Abdelatty discussed with Kuwait’s Foreign Minister Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al Ahmad Al Sabah the need for an immediate halt to all military actions and escalation, a return to negotiations, and the prioritization of political and diplomatic solutions to contain rising tensions.

The Egyptian minister also stressed the importance of maintaining security and stability in the Gulf region, describing it as an integral part of Arab national security. He called for adherence to principles of good neighborly relations, respect for state sovereignty, and non-interference in internal affairs.

During his call with Tunisia’s Foreign Minister Mohamed Ali Nafti, Abdelatty praised the outcomes of a trilateral meeting of foreign ministers from Libya’s neighboring countries, hosted by Cairo on May 21.

He emphasized the importance of maintaining regular meetings of the mechanism as a framework for coordinating the positions of neighboring states, supporting Libya’s unity, sovereignty and territorial integrity, preserving its national institutions, and strengthening its security and stability.
