Amman, Jan 24 (Petra) – Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Saleh Kharabsheh, accompanied by National Electric Power Company (NEPCO) Director General Sufian Batayneh, on Saturday checked on progress made in the Jerash Industrial Substation project.
The project is implemented by NEPCO, part of its strategic plans to develop the electricity transmission system and enhance grid reliability, the company said in a statement.
Batayneh said the project is in its final stages, and it will help enhance the reliability of the electricity grid, improve the quality of power supply in Jerash Governorate, and meet mounting electricity loads in the industrial zone and surrounding areas.
The project, he pointed out, is being implemented entirely by NEPCO’s engineering and technical staff, according to the highest approved technical and time standards, and in line with the company’s plans to modernize the electricity sector’s infrastructure and ensure a secure electricity supply in the Kingdom.
