Amman, Jan. 14 (Petra) – Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Saleh Al-Kharabsheh participated on Tuesday in the ministerial sessions of the 4th International Mining Conference, which is currently being held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The conference has attracted over 50 ministers from around the globe, as well as prominent leaders from the international mining industry.
The conference focused on critical issues, including strengthening global collaboration in the responsible utilization of mineral resources, fostering investment within the mining sector, and advancing innovation in mining technologies.
A key theme of the discussions was the importance of sustainable mining practices, with an emphasis on protecting the environment while promoting long-term economic growth.
In addition, participants addressed the ongoing challenges facing the industry, such as the effects of climate change and the ongoing digital transformation within mining. There was a strong consensus on the need for innovative solutions to enhance productivity and reduce the environmental footprint of mining operations.
The International Mining Conference has established itself as an essential platform for dialogue between governments, industry leaders, and investors, aiming to foster international partnerships and ensure the sustainable management of mineral resources to support global development goals.
