Ma’an, Aug. 2 (Petra) — The Ministry of Environment, through its
Ma’an Environment Directorate, has provided 1,100-liter metal waste
containers to the Greater Ma’an Municipality as part of an ongoing
partnership with the Ministry of Local Administration to enhance
sanitation services and improve waste management across the
governorate.
Head of the Greater Ma’an Municipal Committee Asem Al-Nahar said on
Sunday that the support reflects the Environment Ministry’s
commitment to curbing littering, promoting environmental
sustainability, and raising the quality of services provided to
residents.
Al-Nahar added that the municipality has prioritized public
sanitation by procuring and distributing hundreds of new containers,
refurbishing existing ones, and implementing a phased replacement
plan across the city’s neighborhoods to improve service delivery.
