Brussels, July 17 (QNA) – European stock markets opened lower today, weighed down by negative performance on Wall Street and continued declines in Asian markets due to a fresh wave of selling in semiconductor stocks.
Among the major markets, France’s CAC 40 index in Paris fell 0.60 percent, while Germany’s DAX index in Frankfurt dropped 0.62 percent.
The UK’s FTSE 100 index in London slipped 0.04 percent, and Italy’s Milano Borsa Index declined 0.92 percent. (QNA)
