Brussels, August 04 (QNA) – European stock indexes closed higher at the end of today’s trading session.
The pan-European STOXX 600 index ended the session up 0.5% at 652.09 points, hovering near the record high it reached last Friday.
The travel and leisure sector led the gains, rising 2.1%, while energy stocks fell 2%.
Germany’s DAX index led the major indexes higher, climbing 1.59%, while France’s CAC 40 gained 1.22%. Britain’s FTSE 100 edged down 0.1%. (QNA)
