The pan-European STOXX 600 index held at 660.12 points. The benchmark rose 1.7 percent last week and closed at a record high on Friday. Europe’s energy sector rose 0.5 percent, with Brent crude futures rising 0.6 percent to USD 83.98 a barrel, while the technology sector led the gains, rising 0.7 percent.
