European Stocks Little Changed Amid Hormuz UncertaintyBrussels, 10 Aug 2026 (ONA) — European stocks were little changed today, amid continued uncertainty over the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, as investors looked ahead to a busy week of economic data. The pan-European STOXX 600 index held at 660.12 points. The benchmark rose 1.7 percent last week and closed at a record high on Friday. Europe’s energy sector rose 0.5 percent, with Brent crude futures rising 0.6 percent to USD 83.98 a barrel, while the technology sector led the gains, rising 0.7 percent. On the other hand, media stocks fell 0.7 percent. Shares of Caledonia Mining rose 1.6 percent after the company announced a 16 percent increase in its second-quarter profit. — Ends/AH
