Brussels, July 27 (QNA) – European stock indexes opened higher on Monday, benefiting from a decline in oil prices, as investors looked ahead to a busy week of central bank decisions and corporate earnings announcements.
Among the major European markets, the pan-European STOXX 600 index rose 0.8 percent to 649.34 points. Germany’s DAX index in Frankfurt gained 1.43 percent, while France’s CAC 40 index on the Paris Stock Exchange advanced 1.01 percent.
Britain’s FTSE 100 index in London also rose 0.64 percent, while Milan’s stock exchange index added 0.70 percent. (QNA)
