European Stocks Open Mixed
Brussels, August 31 (QNA) – European stock indices opened Monday’s trading with mixed performance, amid rising oil prices and the return of hawkish rhetoric from the US Federal Reserve regarding inflation. 
In the major European markets, Germany’s DAX index on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange fell 0.51 percent, while France’s CAC 40 index on the Paris Stock Exchange rose 0.21 percent. 
The STOXX 600 index remained steady at around 655 points after a weak opening, with London markets closed for a bank holiday. 
Meanwhile, Italy’s FTSE MIB index in Milan rose 0.16 percent, while the London Stock Exchange is observing a public holiday today. (QNA)
