Amman, Jan 6 (Petra) – European shares rose on Tuesday after surpassing a key level in the previous session, with the pan-European STOXX 600 index climbing 0.3 percent, following gains in defense and energy stocks on Monday that pushed it past the 600-point threshold for the first time.
According to Bloomberg, the basic resources index rose 1 percent, driven by higher precious metal prices, while Germany’s DAX index gained 0.2 percent to a record level. Spain’s IBEX index also rose 0.4 percent to hit a record high.
