FIFA World Cup 2026: Qatar to Face Sudan in Friendly Thursday
Doha, May 16 (QNA) – The Qatar Football Association announced on Saturday that the national team will play a friendly against Sudan here on Thursday, in preparation for the FIFA World Cup 2026.
The match comes as part of team Qatar’s current training camp held in Doha, which began on Monday following the conclusion of the local football season. 
On May 28, Al Adaam will travel to Dublin to play a second friendly against their Irish counterparts.
Then on June 6, Qatar will play their third and final friendly match against El Salvador in Los Angeles. 
The draw placed Qatar in Group B alongside Canada, Switzerland, and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Qatar will begin their World Cup campaign against Switzerland in San Francisco on June 13, before facing Canada in Vancouver on June 18, to finally conclude the group-stage against Bosnia and Herzegovina in Seattle on June 24. (QNA)
