Khartoum, April 18, 2026 (SUNA) – Minister of Finance, Dr. Gebreil Ibrahim stressed the importance of the Africa International University as a promising scientific and regional academic institution, describing it as a valuable project contributing to training leaders and skilled professionals for Sudan and the wider region. During a meeting with the university’s rector Prof. Hatim Osman and the head of the Sudanese Universities Union Prof. Al-Hadi Adam, he pledged support for the university and efforts to strengthen its academic role. The university administration praised government support, particularly the Ministry of Finance’s commitment to paying staff salaries in full during the war since 2023, ensuring continuity of academic operations and completion of graduations. The university has already graduated two cohorts during the war, with a third graduation scheduled for April and new student admissions planned for September.BH/BH
