First-Time Exhibition of Royal Palace’s Berber Jewelry Abroad, Source of Pride for Qataris – Shaikha Al-Nassr

In a statement to the press on the sidelines of the inauguration ceremony of the Berber jewelry exhibition, marking the start of the Qatar-Morocco Cultural Year 2024, Shaikha Al-Nassr expressed delight at the reception of this collection of 220 captivating works, unveiled for the first time outside the Kingdom.

She expressed her gratitude to the National Museums Foundation, which provided all the appropriate conditions for the organization of this event.

The Qatar-Morocco 2024 Years of Culture include a series of activities and events as diverse as they are exciting, fostering a spirit of learning, sharing experiences, and promoting ties between the two countries.

On her part, Al Jazi Khayarin, spokesperson for the Years of Culture initiative, emphasized that the choice of Morocco as Qatar’s partner for the 2024 Years of Culture illustrates the depth of bilateral friendship and cooperation, noting that this event, marked by multiple activities in both countries, will rejuvenate cooperation and partnership, particularly in the cultural domain.

The exhibition of Berber silver jewelry from the Royal Palace at the Museum of Islamic Art in Doha, for the first time outside of Morocco, can only be a source of pride for the Qataris, stated Shaikha Al-Nassr, the Director of the Museum of Islamic Art in Doha.
