Gaza, July 16 (QNA) – Five Palestinians were martyred, and several others injured in Israeli occupation airstrikes on various areas of the Gaza Strip on Thursday.
Medical sources said one Palestinian was martyred after an Israeli occupation drone struck a vehicle in Al-Mawasi area west of Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip.
Medical sources also told Qatar News Agency (QNA) that another Palestinian was martyred, and several others injured in an Israeli occupation airstrike on a tent sheltering displaced people in the port area west of Gaza City. A third Palestinian was martyred by Israeli fire in Al-Zaytoun neighborhood southeast of the city.
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society said five people were injured in an Israeli strike on Al-Zaytoun neighborhood, which coincided with an advance by Israeli tanks along Al-Sikka Street. It added that two Palestinians were killed in a separate airstrike targeting Al-Tuffah neighborhood east of Gaza City.
Overnight, Israeli occupation forces issued evacuation orders covering residential blocks and neighborhoods in the central Gaza Strip, including Bureij, Maghazi, and Nuseirat refugee camps, as well as the city of Deir al-Balah. The areas were later hit by intensive airstrikes that caused extensive damage and left several Palestinians injured.
According to health authorities in Gaza, the death toll from the Israeli military campaign in the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, has risen to 73,250, while 173,751 people have been injured. (QNA)
