Amman, January 20 (Petra) – Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi on Tuesday met with Norwegian Minister of International Development ?smund Aukrust to discuss ways to relations and cooperation.
Safadi and Aukrust discussed the two countries’ commitment to continuing efforts to develop ties and build on the existing partnership, particularly in the economic and development sectors.
They discussed enhancing coordination on issues of mutual interest at the regional and international levels.
Safadi praised Norway for its continued support for Jordan, highlighting its important role in helping meet the needs of refugees, as well as its support for the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA).
Norway had announced $27 million in support for UNRWA for the years 2026–2027.
