Minister Meets US Envoys in Geneva to Discuss Developments in US-Iran
Negotiations
Geneva, 26 Feb 2026 (ONA) — Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister,
held a meeting today in Geneva with Steve Witkoff, Envoy of the US President
and Jared Kushner, within the framework of the ongoing US-Iranian negotiations.
The
meeting reviewed the Iranian side’s perspectives and proposals, alongside the
responses and queries put forth by the US negotiating team. The discussions
pertain to addressing the fundamental components of Iran’s nuclear program and
the requisite guarantees necessary to realize the desired agreement on this
pivotal file, in all its technical and supervisory dimensions.
The
Foreign Minister pointed out that endeavors are being pursued with unwavering
determination and a constructive spirit, amid an unprecedented openness on the
part of the negotiators to novel and innovative ideas and solutions, and the
fostering of conditions conducive to progress and the realization of a just
agreement, underpinned by guarantees capable of enduring.
