Amman, August 19 (Petra) – Directorate of Operations and Consular Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates is following up on death of a citizen and injury of four members of a Jordanian family in a traffic accident, which involved a travel vehicle carrying Jordanian passengers on the Daraa highway in Syria.
In a statement, the ministry’s official spokesperson, Dr. Sufian Qudah, said the directorate and the Jordanian Embassy in Damascus have been following up on the accident’s circumstances since its occurrence with the relevant authorities in Syria.
Qudah indicated that the accident killed the father and injured the mother and three children, whose condition is “stable.”
Qudah indicated that embassy staff in Damascus are continously contacting Al-Salam Hospital in Damascus, which received the four injured Jordanians.
Meanwhile, the father’s body was evacuated to another hospital, which will be transported to the Kingdom, in coordination with the family after completing all necessary procedures.
Qudah expressed his sincere condolences to the Jordanian family over the father’s death, wishing the injured a speedy recovery.
