Khartoum (SUNA) – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation issued a press statement expressing the Sudanese Government’s profound regret over civilian casualties in what was described as a drone strike on Al-Naam Market in the Abyei area. The Ministry renewed its solidarity with the victims’ families and wished the injured a speedy recovery. The Ministry categorically affirmed that the Sudanese Armed Forces had no connection to the unfortunate incident, noting that it resembled crimes that the terrorist militia Rapid Support Forces (RSF) continues to commit, as it did in Kadugli on December 13, 2025, when it targeted the UNISFA forces’ camp, killing several peacekeepers from the Bangladeshi battalion and targeting humanitarian aid convoys.BH/BH
