Amman, Jan 5 (Petra) – The public prosecutor for integrity and anti-corruption decided to detain a former employee of the Ministry of Health for 15 days pending investigation at Marka Correction and Rehabilitation Center on felony embezzlement charges.
According to a statement by the Integrity and Anti-Corruption Commission on Monday, the employee embezzled JD129,000 over multiple periods during his work at one of the ministry’s health centers.
The Integrity and Anti-Corruption Commission had previously referred the case to the public prosecution.
