French President Calls for “Unconditional” Ceasefire in Gaza

Amman, July 8 (Petra) – French President Emmanuel Macron on Tuesday called for an “unconditional” ceasefire in Gaza, stressing that the two-state solution and recognition of a Palestinian state are essential to building peace.

According to Agence France-Presse, Macron delivered his remarks in English during a speech to the British Parliament in London, describing the call for an unconditional ceasefire as a straightforward message to the world that Europeans “do not apply double standards.”

He added, “We want a ceasefire without debate.”
