Future Leaders Forum Explores Rapid
Digital Transformations
Muscat, 1 Feb 2026 (ONA) — An
event titled “Leaders for Future Readiness” forum kicked off today as part of a
4-month national dialogue and training programme (“Irtiqaa”) undertaken by the Ministry
of Transport, Communications and Information Technology.
The forum, attended by senior
government officials, reviews rapid digital transformations and national approaches
towards reshaping the priorities of government action, placing the concept of readiness
at the heart of leadership decisions.
The forum aims to develop a common
understanding of “digital transformation and emerging technologies” with a view
to establishing a unified vision about advanced technologies and risk
management. It seeks to adopt a one-government approach, enhance coordination
and integration among different government institutions and promote collective
responsibility as a means of realizing the desired national goals.
The forum will see the participation
of international experts and speakers and review case studies, practical
applications and interactive simulations.
The forum is organized by the
Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology in partnership
with the Royal Academy of Management (RAM), the University of Technology and
Applied Sciences (UTAS) and the Omani Society for Human Resources Management
(OSHRM). It serves as a dialogue
platform among high-level national leaders.
The forum goes beyond traditional
frameworks of training and empowerment and transcends to the realignment of government
decisions with future requirements, with the prime objective of developing an
integrated national leadership system characterized by flexibility and the
ability to innovate. It will therefore contribute to consolidating the
Sultanate of Oman’s position in addressing rapid digital developments that take
place in the world.
