Amman, Jan. 25 (Petra) – The Greater Amman Municipality (GAM) has begun completing the fourth phase of the “Upper Jaish (Army) Street” al-Mahatta project as part of the Old Amman Neighborhoods Development National Strategic Project, which aims to implement traffic improvements on Jaish Street and Rfeifan Al-Majali Street and create urban public spaces.
The strategic project targets the development of the station through several phases, three of which have already been completed. These included the establishment of a park and playground, as well as expansion works and traffic improvements along a 500-meter section of Rfeifan Al-Majali Street opposite the station bridge.
The fourth and fifth phases will be implemented on Upper Jaish Street and Rfeifan Al-Majali Street. They will involve removing all encroachments on the designated road width and planning and organizing traffic in the area to serve the local community, as the area constitutes one of the main entrances to Amman.
