Gaza Strip, July 2 (Petra) — Some 142 dead bodies and 487 injured people arrived at hospitals across the Gaza Strip in the last 24 hours in the ongoing Israeli aggression against the enclave, according to the Gaza Health Ministry.
Among them were 39 fatalities and 210 injured people who were targeted by Israeli forces at aid distribution centers, raising the total number of food aid victims to 640 dead and more than 4,488 injured, it said.
The latest casualties raised to 57,012 the death toll from the ongoing Israeli war, which began on October 7, 2023, and the total number of injuries soared to 134,592, the ministry said in its daily update of casualties.
It said many victims remained under the rubble and on roads, inaccessible by civil defense crews and ambulances.
