Gaza Strip, May 21 (Petra) — Some 82 dead bodies and 262 injured people arrived in hospitals across the Gaza Strip in the last 24 hours as Israeli occupation forces stepped up the war on the enclave, according the Gaza Health Ministry.
The latest casualties raised to 53,655 the death toll from the aggression that began on October 7, 2023, and the total number of injuries climbed to 121,950, it said in its latest update of figures.
These included 3,509 fatalities and 9,909 injuries since March, 18, when Israel resumed the war after a ceasefire, it said, adding that many victims remained under the rubble of targeted buildings, inaccessible by ambulances.
