Gaza Strip, Aug 2 (Petra) — Hospitals across the Gaza Strip received 98 dead bodies and 1,079 wounded people in the last 24 hours in Israel’s ongoing war, the Gaza Health Ministry said on Saturday.
Of the victims, 39 were killed and 849 wounded at food distribution sites, raising the total number of aid fatalities to 1,422 and the wounded to 10,067, it said.
The latest figures took to 60,430 the death toll from Israel’s aggression, which began on October 7, 2023, and the total number of injuries climbed to 148,722, it said in its daily update of casualties.
Many of the victims remained under the rubble of buildings targeted by bombardment and air strikes, and on roads, inaccessible by ambulances, the ministry said.
