Riyadh, March 17 (QNA) – HE Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi praised Tuesday the professional and high-quality efforts carried out by Kuwait’s security agencies, which successfully arrested a terrorist cell affiliated with Hezbollah.
He strongly condemned its plans and targeting of Kuwait’s security and stability.
In a statement, the GCC Secretary-General reaffirmed the Council’s firm and consistent stance rejecting all forms of terrorism and extremism.
He emphasized the full support of GCC member states for all measures taken by Kuwait to safeguard its security and stability, preserve its sovereignty, and confront anyone attempting to undermine its safety or threaten the well-being of its citizens and residents.
He also stressed that GCC countries will remain united in confronting terrorism, continuing to strengthen collective security systems and promote stability in the region in a way that serves the interests of their peoples and protects their achievements. (QNA)
