Riyadh, April 07 (QNA) – Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi met with the Federal Minister for European and International Affairs of Austria Beate Meinl-Reisinger, Tuesday.
The meeting discussed the Iranian attacks on the Gulf states and went over updates pertaining to the regional escalation and the consequences of the closure of the Strait of Hormuz, which poses a direct threat to regional and international security.
Both sides also reviewed GCC-Austrian ties and exchanged views on the latest regional and international developments.
The Austrian foreign minister reaffirmed her country’s steadfast support for the GCC states in the face of Iranian aggression, underscoring the need to intensify international efforts to halt these attacks and protect the security and stability of the region. (QNA)
