Riyadh, March 31 (QNA) – Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi condemned in the strongest terms the Israeli parliament’s (Knesset) approval of a law allowing the execution of Palestinian prisoners, deeming it a flagrant violation and a breach of all international and humanitarian laws and norms.
In a statement, Albudaiwi called upon the international community to fulfill its legal and humanitarian obligations to halt these illegal Israeli decisions and practices, which represent a threat to the Palestinian people.
The GCC Secretary-General reaffirmed the Council’s steadfast and firm position in support of the Palestinian cause and the achievement of a solution based on ending the Israeli occupation and establishing an independent Palestinian state on the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital. (QNA)
