Cairo, August 12 (QNA) – Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Jasem Mohamed AlBudaiwi discussed with Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty a number of issues of mutual interest, as well as ways to strengthen relations between the GCC states and Egypt in a manner that serves their shared objectives and interests.
The two sides also exchanged views on the latest developments in the region. They stressed the importance of supporting all regional and international efforts aimed at enhancing security and stability, and emphasized resolving all disputes and outstanding issues through peaceful and diplomatic means, as well as constructive dialogue among all parties to the conflicts.
They also reviewed developments in the joint action plan between the GCC and Egypt, along with the outcomes of the first edition of the GCC-Egyptian Investment Forum. Both sides affirmed the importance of continuing to hold future editions of the forum, given its valuable results in strengthening trade between the two sides. (QNA)
