Amman, June 22 (Petra) Several nations voiced deep concern over the escalating tensions in the Middle East, urging strict adherence to international law, an immediate ceasefire, and a return to dialogue.

Spain’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized the need for a diplomatic resolution and a swift end to violence, expressing serious alarm at the ongoing regional escalation.

China’s Foreign Ministry, in a statement, called on all parties particularly the Israeli occupation to halt hostilities immediately, ensure the safety of civilians, and engage in dialogue and negotiations. Beijing reaffirmed its willingness to cooperate with the international community in the pursuit of justice, peace, and regional stability.

French Minister of Foreign Affairs Jean-Noël Barrot also urged all sides to exercise maximum restraint and avoid any further escalation that could widen the conflict. In a post on his official X account, Barrot stressed that a lasting resolution must come through a negotiated settlement within the framework of the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT).
