Amman, May 26 (Petra) — The Council of Ministers approved the construction of the Abel Environmental Park in Tafilah, Minister of Government Communication Mohammad Momani announced on Monday.
Following a Cabinet session in Tafilah, Momani said the park aims to enhance environmental preservation and safeguard the Tafilah’s natural resources. The project includes the development of a modern service building, reflecting the government’s commitment to supporting sustainable development and improving quality of life in Tafilah.
The total cost of the project is estimated at JOD 660,000. Momani highlighted that the initiative aligns with the government’s efforts to create recreational and educational spaces that raise environmental awareness and promote domestic tourism.
He expressed optimism that Abel Environmental Park would attract visitors, bolster the local economy, create new job opportunities and position Tafilah as a key environmental tourism hub.
