Geneva, 30 March 2026 (SUNA) – Governor of Darfur Region Minni Arko Minnawi arrived in Geneva on Monday for a visit during which he will hold a series of meetings with senior officials from the United Nations and international organizations.His engagements are set to include meetings with the President of the Human Rights Council, the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights, the Director of the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), and the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC). The Governor Minnawi is also expected to conduct a number of media engagements, both within and outside the United Nations, to highlight the crimes of the rebel militia, the humanitarian situation, and the government’s efforts to protect civilians and facilitate and accelerate the delivery of humanitarian assistance.BH/BH
