Gulf U-17 Cup: Qatar to Face Bahrain in Second Round Tomorrow

Doha, October 18 (QNA) – Qatar’s national team will face Bahrain tomorrow at Grand Hamad Stadium in the second round of Group A of the Gulf U-17 Football Championship, which is being hosted by Qatar until November 4.

Qatar aims to bounce back by securing a victory and all three points, keeping their competitive hopes alive following a 2-0 defeat to China in the opening round.

Bahrain also began their tournament campaign with a loss, falling 2-1 to the United Arab Emirates in the first round. They are now looking to revive their prospects, with a win being their primary objective.

Qatar’s head coach, Nicolas Arnaldo, has worked to address the tactical errors made in the opening match. During preparations for this second encounter, the technical staff focused on strengthening the defense while enhancing the team’s attacking capabilities and capitalizing on scoring opportunities.

Also taking place tomorrow in Group A is a match between Oman and China at Hamad bin Khalifa Stadium. Oman will be looking to kick off their campaign with a positive result, while China will aim to consolidate their position at the top of the group standings.

The tournament features 10 teams divided into two groups of five, with a total of 23 matches scheduled throughout the competition. (QNA)
