The Humanitarian Aid Commission (HAC) Commissioner-General, Dr. Salwa Adam Benya, arrived in El-Obeid, where she was briefed on the humanitarian situation in North Kordofan and the assistance being provided to internally displaced persons (IDPs) and host families. The visit aims to deliver humanitarian assistance to recently liberated areas and launch the distribution of 24,000 sacks of flour and 20,000 food baskets, in addition to shelter materials and solar power equipment. Dr. Benya praised the efforts of the state’s Humanitarian Aid Commission in supporting IDPs and war-affected communities. She also visited displacement shelters in El Obeid, reviewed the situation of newly displaced people arriving from areas southwest of the city, and inspected mobile health services, water sources, and protection arrangements at the main IDP camp.BH/BH
