Amman, Sep. 2 (Petra) – The Hashemite Fund for the Development of the Jordan Badia and the Good Neighbors International Organization on Tuesday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) aimed at advancing sustainable development in the Badia through a series of projects across multiple regions.
The memorandum was signed by the Fund’s Director, Ahmad Owaidat, and the organization’s Country Representative, Seung Jin An. The partnership seeks to enhance community resilience by addressing priority sectors, including education, health, poverty reduction, entrepreneurship, and social empowerment. Under the MoU, initiatives will also extend to vocational training, infrastructure improvement, and the creation of employment opportunities, particularly targeting youth and women.
Speaking after the signing, Owaidat underscored the fund’s commitment to driving comprehensive and sustainable development in the Badia, noting that collaboration with international partners strengthens the fund’s ability to launch impactful projects that raise living standards and create economic opportunities.
For his part, Jin An stressed the organization’s keenness to expand cooperation with the fund, highlighting that the agreement reflects a joint effort to improve living conditions in the Badia through sustainable, community-driven projects in critical areas such as health and education.
According to the memorandum, both parties will also coordinate on exchanging data, conducting needs assessments, and identifying projects with the highest developmental impact.
