HCDS, Awqaf ministry talk exapanding services for disabled military personnel

Amman, Aug. 16 (Petra) – Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs, Dr.
Mohammad Khalaileh, met on Sunday with Director General of the
Hashemite Commission for Disabled Soldiers (HCDS), Ret. Brig. Gen.
Adel Shunaq, to ​​discuss ways to enhance joint cooperation and
coordination, in a bid to “better serve” disabled military personnel
and their families.

During the meeting, the two sides went over several issues, mainly
programs and services provided to this group, and matters related to
Hajj and Umrah pilgrimages.

Talks also tackled mechanisms for enhancing mutual cooperation and
coordination to facilitate these personnel’s access to benefit from
relevant services and programs.

Khalaileh noted the ministry’s commitment to strengthening
cooperation with the HCDS and supporting efforts, aimed at serving
disabled servicemen and providing all possible facilitations within
the ministry’s jurisdiction.

In turn, Shunaq stressed the importance of the partnership with the
ministry, aimed to leverage its expertise and capabilities in
religious and guidance fields, which would develop services and
programs offered to these personnel and their households.
