Amman, Aug. 18 (Petra) — Secretary-General of the Ministry of Energy
and Mineral Resources Amani Alazzam and Director-General of Hashemite
Commission for Disabled Soldiers (HCDS) Brig. Gen. (Ret.) Adel
Shunaq met Tuesday to discuss mutual cooperation and continued
support for military casualties and their families.
The meeting focused on maintaining access to energy-sector support
programs for newly injured military personnel and widows of military
casualties, according to a joint statement.
As for current plans, the officials reviewed a dedicated energy
project for military casualties and discussed ways to develop and
expand its scope to better meet their needs and improve their living
conditions.
Both sides also called for continuing joint efforts and developing
programs and initiatives to benefit military casualties and their
widows, in recognition of their sacrifices and service to Jordan.
