Kosti, 7-4-2026 (SUNA) – Minister of Health Dr. Haitham Mohamed Ibrahim has ordered the urgent restoration of health services and the rehabilitation of facilities in White Nile State damaged by attacks from rebel militias, including the provision of necessary medical equipment and devices, to be completed without delay. The directive came during a meeting at his Port Sudan office on Tuesday with the White Nile State Minister of Health, Dr. Al-Zein Saad Adam, attended by senior ministry officials including Acting Director of the Medical Supplies Fund, Dr. Nemat Dubluk, Director of Therapeutic Medicine, Dr. Haidar Abdel Nabi and Director of Primary Health Care, Dr. Musab. During the meeting, the White Nile State Minister of Health reviewed the current health situation and sector challenges, highlighting the need to restore diagnostic and treatment services and address damages to key facilities, including Shukairi Hospital, Al-Jabalain Teaching Hospital, and the medical supplies warehouse. The Federal Minister of Health praised the efforts of the White Nile State Ministry under the challenging circumstances, commending the support of the state wali (governor), Lt. Gen. Qamar Eldin Mohamed Fadl Al-Moula, and his continued attention to sector development.BH/BH
