KHARTOUM, June 8, 2026 (SUNA) — The Undersecretary of the Federal Ministry of Health, Dr. Ali Babiker Said Ahmed, alongside the Director General and Acting Minister of Health for Khartoum State, Dr. Mahmoud El-Badri, conducted an inspection tour on Monday to assess the ongoing maintenance and rehabilitation works at Al-Tijani El-Mahi Hospital. The tour included visits to various specialized departments within the hospital to evaluate the progress of the structural rehabilitation. The delegation emphasized the vital importance of accelerating the pace of execution while adhering strictly to approved technical and engineering specifications to guarantee the hospital’s operational readiness and elevate its capacity at the earliest possible date. The officials received a comprehensive briefing from the Director General of the hospital, Dr. May Ahmed Yousuf, regarding the current workflow, immediate challenges, and the continuous efforts exerted by the medical and administrative staff to ensure uninterrupted healthcare services for patients. The tour concluded with an emphasis on reinforcing coordination between relevant administrative bodies and backing the rehabilitation process to directly improve the quality of mental health services and stabilize the hospital’s long-term performance.BH/BH
