Amman, August 20 (Petra) -The University of Jordan Hospital (UJH) held a voluntary medical day in the southern Petra district- Wadi Musa on Wednesday, with support from the Swiss organization “Hear the World.”
During the day, advanced hearing aids were fitted for 20 children with hearing loss, equipped with the “latest” audiological technology.
A team of doctors and audiologists from UJH and Faculty of Rehabilitation Sciences at the University of Jordan (UJ), and interns and medical students specializing in ear, nose, and throat (ENT) engaged in fitting the hearing devices.
According to a hospital statement, the initiative aimed to enhance community healthcare and support children and their families.
Additionally, awareness-raising lectures were given to beneficiaries on maintaining hearing aids and their remote programming to ensure continuous e-support from the UJ audiology team.
