Doha, February 28 (QNA) – HH the Amir of the State of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani received a telephone call today from the HE Prime Minister of the friendly United Kingdom Keir Starmer.
The call dealt with exchanging views on the latest security developments in the region and their repercussions on regional and international peace and stability. Both sides stressed the need to halt the escalation and prioritize diplomatic means and dialogue to avoid further tensions in the region and establish the foundations of stability.
The UK Prime Minister affirmed his country’s support for the State of Qatar, stressing that the UK was ready to support Qatar in all matters that would preserve its sovereignty and enhance its stability.
For his part, HH the Amir expressed his deep gratitude to the UK Prime Minister for the support shown by the friendly United Kingdom to the State of Qatar. (QNA)
