Khartoum, June 20, 2026 (SUNA) — The Higher Economic Committee held a meeting on Saturday chaired by Prime Minister Dr. Kamil Idris and attended by Finance Minister Dr. Gebreil Ibrahim, Energy Minister Eng. Al-Mua’tasim Ibrahim Ahmed, Minister of Industry and Trade Mahasin Ali Yagoub, Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Sudan Al-Mua’tasim Abdullah Ahmed, Prime Minister’s Adviser Nizar Abdullah Mohamed, and a number of officials from relevant institutions. The meeting reviewed current economic performance and discussed a package of policies and measures aimed at enhancing economic stability. It also examined steps needed to secure the country’s strategic commodity requirements and address livelihood issues as part of the government’s efforts to achieve economic stability in Sudan.BH/BH
